Health Care Association of Michigan is dedicated to promoting excellence in senior care in Michigan. Our membership includes skilled nursing facilities, county medical care facilities and assisted living facilities in both the profit and non-profit entities.
The Jackson County Department on Aging provides resources and support for seniors such as: Alzheimer’s & Dementia Services, Caregiver Support Programs, Chore Service, Counseling, Depression Screening, In-Home Services, Meals on Wheels, Michigan Medicare Medicaid Assistance Program, Respite Services, Senior Meal Sites & Senior Centers
Care Conversations™ is an initiative led by the American Health Care Association (AHCA), the National Center for Assisted Living (NCAL) and America’s Skilled Nursing Caregivers that provides insight into the care planning process and firsthand accounts of various care experiences.
The American Health Care Association is a non-profit federation of affiliated state health organizations, together representing more than 10,000 non-profit and for-profit assisted living, nursing facility, developmentally-disabled, and subacute care providers that care for more than 1.5 million elderly and disabled individuals nationally.
The Jackson County Veteran Affairs Office acts as an advocate for the veterans, surviving spouses and dependent children that may qualify for Veterans Administration benefits.
